The Willows sits on eighteen acres in Hainault, on the Ilford side of the Essex border. We’re close enough to Central London for easy travel, yet far enough out for real space. We host weddings for up to 800 guests, plus Mehndi nights, corporate dinners, birthdays and private parties. We’ve worked with Pakistani, Indian, Bengali, Sikh, Turkish and African families for years, including many blending more than one tradition into a single day.
Guests reach us easily from Ilford, Barkingside, Chigwell, Woodford, Romford, Dagenham, Barking and Wanstead, plus further across Essex and Kent. Our on-site car park means no one circles the block for a space. Book us two ways: a fully-catered wedding with our in-house halal kitchen, or dry hire with your own caterer. Both get full support from our events team.
At The Willows, Hainault, we don’t just hand you a room, we hand you a finished event. Full event management, in-house halal catering or dry hire, and a team that handles the details most venues miss. Explore what’s included below.
If you'd rather not manage a dozen suppliers yourself, our events team handles décor, seating plans, timings and coordination from your first meeting to the last dance.
Use our in-house halal kitchen, or bring your own approved caterer under a dry hire booking. Both routes get full support from our team.
Segregated seating, dedicated prayer space, and layout changes between ceremony and reception can all be arranged. Tell us what your family needs, and we'll plan the room around it.
Eighteen acres means your outdoor ceremony and indoor reception can happen on the same booking, without cramming both into one hall.
Eighteen acres and four spaces mean your day never feels rushed or cramped. The Grand Ballroom holds up to 800 guests, the Premier Suite up to 120, and both still feel like one connected space.
Nikaah, Walima, Mehndi and multi-day celebrations are what we host most weeks, cooked by an in-house team that treats Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi menus as core, not an add-on.
Fully-arranged or bring-your-own-suppliers, we support both without pushing a package that doesn’t fit. A large on-site car park means guests arrive without stress.

Find answers to the questions we’re asked most about booking and hosting your event with us.
We’re on eighteen acres in Hainault, right on the Ilford side of the Essex border. Guests come easily from Barkingside, Chigwell, Woodford, Romford and the wider Essex and East London area, and there’s free parking on site, so nobody’s driving in circles looking for a space.
The Grand Ballroom takes up to 800 for weddings, receptions, and big celebrations. If you’re after something smaller, the Premier Suite holds up to 120, which suits a Mehndi night, a Walima, or a family gathering that doesn’t need the main hall.
Cost depends on your date, guest count, and whether you go fully catered or dry hire, so we don’t quote a flat number on the website. Call us or send an enquiry and we work out a price that actually matches what you’re planning.
Yes, most weeks. We also handle families running a Mehndi, ceremony, and Walima across separate days on the same grounds, which is common for multi-day South Asian weddings. Segregated seating, a prayer space, and different room layouts for ceremony versus reception are all things we set up regularly, just tell us what your family needs.
Our kitchen cooks halal as standard, and Pakistani, Indian, and Bangladeshi menus are what the team cooks most, not a side option. If you’d rather bring your own caterer, dry hire covers that, and our events team supports either route the same way.
Six to eighteen months is the honest range, with twelve months being safe for most dates. Book earlier if you want a Saturday between May and September, or if your wedding spans multiple days. Good dates go first.
Tell your coordinator as soon as you know. There’s a deadline for your final headcount written into your booking, and your coordinator talks you through exactly what flexibility looks like before that date, so nothing catches you out close to the wedding.
A signed booking form plus a deposit holds your date exclusively. The deposit amount and cancellation terms are in the booking form itself, and your coordinator goes through them with you line by line before you sign, not after.
One coordinator, from your first meeting through to the day itself. You’re not re-explaining your wedding to someone new every time you call.
Yes, free on-site parking is available for guests. Ask your coordinator for numbers if you’re planning a larger wedding, so you know what to tell your guest list.
Yes to both, that’s what dry hire is for. Bring your own DJ, band, or entertainment, and style the space how you want it. Or hand décor and coordination to our team if you’d rather not manage it yourself.
Yes. Come and see the space in person before you commit, ask your coordinator to arrange a viewing.
